Mrs. Angela Fair's Classroom Website

Welcome!

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year, where new and innovative learning will take place in your child's or your classroom.  I am thrilled beyond belief to be able to sow into the lives of the future generations of this planet.  I don't know I may be preparing a future president or the doctor who finds a cure for some incurable disease.  Moreover, I simply may be investing into the life of a young person who will be willing to make a difference in the lives of every person with whom they come in contact. Therefore, I once again welcome you and wish you the best in all your endeavors.

Transition to Math 8

Course Description

This class will affirm the student’s knowledge of Pre-Algebra skills and transition or schematically move their knowledge base into the skills of Algebra.  The student will learn to use an assortment of strategies to analyze and evaluate problems in Computation and Estimation, Measurement and Geometry, Probability and Statistics, and Patterns, Functions and Algebra.  These skills will be introduced, learned, and assessed by means of direct and indirect class instruction, group collaboration, homework, student projects, and technology.

Math is the universal language that unites all people.

English 8

The default setting for paragraph text is left-aligned, non-justified text.

If you'd like, you can use right-aligned text.

Or even center-aligned text.

You can also justify text which fills in all of the horizontal space for a paragraph. When using this setting, your text will always fill in left to right for anything but the last line of a paragraph, just like you see in magazines and newspapers. This paragraph is a bit long, and it's just here to show you an example of justified text.

Want to create a numbered list?

  1. You can talk about one fish.
  2. Two fish.
  3. Perhaps even red fish or blue fish.

Bulleted lists are fun too.

  • You can created a list of items.
  • Add as many items as you'd like.
    • You can even nest lists by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard.
  • But wait, there's more!
This is a table.
Tables are great for tabular data.
Or just putting things in order.
  Right click tables for options.
